The new period of YPB began in 2004 as Darwina Sri Widjajanti become the Executive Director to replace M.Kismadi. With 10 years of YPB existence under M. Kismadi, LEAD network and the support of Rockefeller Foundation, Darwina continues the work and developes a new direction for the future of YPB. The new directions have been the response to the new needs where YPB takes the position as a Resource Center. The center has its strategic program that covers:

• LEADing by Sharing (training, consultation, and public discourse)
• LEADing by Knowledge (research, develop case study, and policy recommendations)
• LEADing by Strategic Partnership (to support sustainable development in practice through strategic partnership)
