Since 2005 YPB has been conducting a program to reach business community, Developing Sustainable Business or DSB.  The program was supported by LEAD International from 2005-2006 to incorporate sustainability tools into the corporate business strategy. AtKisson Group has accredited YPB as the only institution in Indonesia to disseminate its sustainability tools using AtKisson attribute. The sustainability tools is an applicable portfolio for the planning and assessment process within an organization, including corporate, which reflects the sustainability compass, indicators and index of the institution's sustainability journey.

With the support from LEAD International YPB has assisted PT. Indonesia Power (state- owned power plant company), PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper, and PT Aneka Tambang (state-owned mining company) to produce their sustainability compass, indicators and index as their commitment to sustainable development. In 2007 British Embassy was supporting YPB with a new budget to work with other 3 more companies until 2009. It is expected that the private sector can use the applicable sustainability tools with measurable indicators with which they can assess their progress toward the ultimate sustainability goals, and be more prepared to develop an  improved accountable sustainability report.
